Job Description
The GM will be responsible for all major operational decisions and responsibilities including but not limited to:

  • Overseeing P & L, annual budgets, A/R, etc.
  • Develop and implement strategic business plan
  • Ability to accommodate and plan for proposed annual growth
  • Negotiate and review operational objectives and performance goals
  • Create and oversee key management team
  • Provide Training and education for employees as needed
  • Support National Sales & Distribution plans
  • Provide leadership and direction for all business activities-- Motivation, Evaluation, Guidance, Personnel Scheduling, Employee relations’ issues, attendance- Sales, Value Added, Procurement, Operations, Warehouse, Packing, & Shipping & Receiving team members to ensure high satisfaction level
  • Oversee warehouse day-to-day functions: Shipping, Transportation, Receiving, Quality Control, Repacking, Consolidation, Inventory Management
  • Oversee transportation department: Cost Efficient, High Customer service level, on time delivery, product integrity Oversee Accounting Department: ensure on time reporting and activity
  • Responsible for scheduling programs for: Equipment maintenance, Facility maintenance, Employee safety, Food safety program, Facility sanitation, Employee Training, Sales Analysis,
  • Travel as required-

    Candidate Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Personnel Management experience, 5-10 years in produce industry preferred
  • Experience with Fresh Cut produce, repack operations
  • Computer Skills
  • P&L responsibility experience
  • Long term strategic growth planning experience
  • Spanish bilingual a PLUS
  • Commitment to High Quality Product and Service Levels
  • Creative Thinker, someone who can think outside the box
  • Strong Leadership skills, Team Oriented
  • Strong Math & Communication skills
  • Willingness to work in Cold Room, temperature controlled environment
  • Strong time management skills
