Job Description
Our client is part of a multi-billion dollar global organization with tremendous resources and assets. Their Food Division is a $700 million corporation that is growing dramatically thereby creating a new position to accelerate this growth.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to include penetration of customer’s organization at all levels.
- Manage the overall profitability of existing customer base by monitoring pricing, accruals, rebates, service reconciliation and expense control. Monitor monthly gross profit/operating profit reports.
- Generate sales opportunities with targeted prospects. Develop detailed financial projections for existing business and consult with financial partners to assess overall profitability.
- Identify sales opportunities with existing customers via profit maximizations (correct solutions), penetration with new products and margin managers. Generate monthly activity plan to report progress toward business goals.
- Develop, coach and direct team via performance management to maximize customer retention and bottom-line sales.
- Develop strategic plan for growth or development of customer for maximization of product/system utilization and profitability and linkage between corporation and customer organization.
- Identification of new product/system development opportunities based on existing or new customer needs.
- Work closely with internal cross-functional staff to develop and implement volume building initiative and/or programs to maximize value creation for customers and consumers.
Job Requirements:
- BA/BS degree is preferred.
- 5 years of food service sales experience specifically calling on major chains (Hardee’s Carl’s Jr., Quiznos, California Pizza Kitchen, Jack in the Box, Taco Bell, etc.).
- 3-5 years of key account food service sales experience in a management capacity.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strategic thinking, negotiation skills, interpersonal communication skills, understanding of motivational leadership skills and conflict resolution skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products.
- Travel 30-50%
- Ability to lead, influence, motivate and empower others.
