Job Description
Overview: The Cold Drink Account Manager is an outside sales position with primary focus on securing new accounts, and developing and managing accounts in the on-premise channels. This position delivers goals by maximizing volume, share, and operating profit from the sales of postmix, premix, bottle/can, and ancillary products to foodservice accounts and utilizing venders and coolers where needed in a specific geographic territory.
Key Accountabilities: Plan territory management on daily, weekly, and monthly basis to ensure effective time management and follow-up with customers
Prospect new accounts by making face-to-face cold calls to identify potential customers
Sell proper package/flavors, delivery cycle, net selling price, and ancillary items to new accounts
Call on existing restaurant customers to identify incremental sales opportunities, follow-up on existing sales and maintain relationship with customers
Coordinate customer set-up process and equipment delivery process to meet sales commitment
Conduct follow up with new accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and profitable performance
Negotiate, communicate, and implement marketing plans and pricing structures for select accounts
Develop relationships with branch and Equipment Services staff
Manage special projects as assigned
Demonstrate leadership skills, as well as seek self-development through continuous learning
Monthly tracking of key account volumes and profit production
Qualifications:
BA/BS Degree is required
Minimum 2 years of sales experience in lieu of college degree
Prior outside sales experience is desirable
Experience in cold calling and prospecting is strongly preferred
Experience planning, preparing and presenting sales presentations required
Excellent prioritizing, decision-making, organizational and planning skills required
A strong record of sales, account acquisition and development
Experience in sales, account acquisition, development and management preferred
Experience in and strong knowledge of CCBCC Cold Drink sales and pricing procedures is strongly preferred
Experience in consumable products industry
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Must have excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
A valid driver¡¦s license with a good driving record is required (a 7 year Motor Vehicle Report is reviewed)
Must be highly self-motivated, flexible and goal oriented
