Job Description
GENERAL PURPOSE

This position is responsible for supervising the production, packaging, and processing of food product.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Direct production, packaging, bakery on production line to produce products meeting company and USDA requirements.

Manage leads and supervision of all line employees. Interviewing, hiring employees following required EEO and Affirmative Action guidelines and ensuring employees receive the proper training. Conduct performance appraisals and administer disciplinary and termination action when necessary.

Responsible for supervising employees, including skills development, safety, housekeeping, policy administration, discipline, employee relations, cost control and problem solving. Adjust daily work schedule as needed to meet production requirements.

Work closely with USDA representative on site to ensure all company, state, and federal requirements for food safety are met. Reviews and signs off on all Quality Assurance and HACCP documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High School diploma or equivalent.

Years of Related Experience: One to three years related experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Intermediate personal computer skills including MicroSoft Office. SAP experience beneficial. Ability to effectively supervise line employees. Strong communication and reasoning skills to provide a positive work environment. Must be able to be H.A.C.C.P. certified.
