Founded in 1919, Malt-O-Meal Company is privately held and headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Malt-O-Meal, the nation’s fourth largest cereal manufacturer, supplies a full line of branded cereals to all retail channels. The company currently produces 26 different ready-to-eat cereals, three varieties of hot wheat cereal, and a full line of oatmeal products. The company operates production facilities in Minnesota and Utah. In addition, a new manufacturing facility located in North Carolina will be operational in the summer of 2008. Four distribution centers supply the customer base throughout the United States.

JOB FUNCTION The position will support the Wal-Mart Team with Retail Link and syndicated data interpretations, insights and reporting. Convert key performance indicators into a format that enables the organization to clearly understand current sales performance at Wal-Mart. Assist in making customer-level tactical business decisions. The ability to translate analysis into action-oriented reports and presentations is a must.

JOB ACTIVITIES / DUTIES • Primary contact for Team Leader requests for specific customer data and insights based on ACNielsen, Spectra and Retail Link • Ensure the accurate consolidation and reporting of information into requested actionable format and investigate any data discrepancies • Conduct in-depth analysis of customer data that include new distribution, promotion, trends and competitive analysis, pricing and promotional effectiveness • Provide project management support or ad hoc support when needed • Provide actionable information to Sales Team • Responsible for maintaining technical skills on all appropriate software applications • Plan-O-Gram Development • Develop fact based selling presentations through detailed analysis of syndicated data • Consult with Wal-Mart Team and proactively identify appropriate reporting needs

JOB QUALIFICATIONS • 4-year college degree or equivalent work experience • 3 years of experience with a CPG Company. • 2 years Wal-Mart Team preferred. • Category Management experience preferred • Basic knowledge of category management, marketing/sales, financial and sales/market analysis including syndicated data, Retail Link and Prospace required. • Demonstrated skills in: ACNielsen Nitro, Spectra, ProSpace. • Advanced Retail Link experience. • Experience with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Lotus Notes. • Project management, leadership and people skills. • Strong written / verbal communication skills. • Detail orientated, accurate, self-motivated. • Ability to manage multiple demands and set priorities to achieve objectives. • Team Player with the ability to work with various departments and persons within the organization. • Motivation, decision-making, problem solving, and results oriented. • The ability to establish objectives and develop strategic and tactical approaches to achieve results. • Self-starter with the ability to complete projects with limited supervision.
