PROCESS ENGINEERS (2 POSITIONS) - CHICAGOLAND DJ 19611 2008 Education: BS Engineering
Location: Chicago, IL – West Suburbs
Years Experience: 3-8+

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Process Engineer will supervise capital projects/permits from conception through start-up, monitor process conditions taking action as required to ensure optimal performance and initiate and implement process improvements to allow the plant to meet operational and fiscal goals. Shall identify, develop and initiate capital projects with an implementation date of two to five years in duration. Lead projects up to $10M, trains junior engineers, and directs project contractors and consultants as necessary. Demonstrate that completed projects meet the design objectives and ensure that maintenance, operation, and training documentation is up to date when projects are completed.
REQUIREMENTS: Qualified candidate shall possess an Engineering degree with 3-8+ years experience in the chemical or food industry with knowledge and understanding of process & systems involved such as chemistry, heat & material balances, P&ID development, mechanical and physical/chemical separations, evaporation, crystallization, drying, material handling, cGMP and energy management. Must also have the ability to successfully manage and implement multiple capital projects, permits, and perform engineering functions in a plant environment.
