Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Custom Development Manager will play a key role in growing the Custom business through bringing innovation to the National Chains across the different product platforms, managing multiple projects and interacting will all functions in the organization. This position is based Solon, OH and will travel as needed to meet the business goals.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Opportunity assessment
* Collect customer insights
* Process insights, develop ideas/concepts identifying opportunities to grow profitable sales for each account
* Provide Technical expertise offering feasibility options to satisfy Customer needs
* Prioritize opportunities to focus PD effort and maximize impact
Project Management
* Deliver solid project briefs to translate opportunity into action, with efficient hand over to PD
* Provide follow-up to National Accounts Sales and Customers on PD work
* Provide National Accounts Sales with product price points, financials and technical inputs
* Expedite and solve project related issues on QA, Specs, Complaints, etc.
* Perform post-launch evaluation to establish key learning's
Leadership:
* Mobilize people of different functions to achieve objectives
* Tactfully manage trade-offs and set expectations
* Constantly challenge status quo, and champion implementation of change
Experience - External:
REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:
* Bachelor degree (food science, technology or equivalent preferred).
* Must be willing to travel approximately 30% of the time.
