Job Description
Regional Sales Representative – West Coast Salary: $60K - $80K (depending on experience), bonus and company car
Territory: CA, OR, WA, ID, NV, AZ, UT Job Description: Identify and respond to dairy flavor needs of processed food manufacturers in the region, and grow the sales volume. Specific duties include: * Establish customer contacts and develop new relationships with appropriate prospects. * Identify critical flavor needs, recommend and deliver viable solutions. * Maintain or improve existing relationships through reasonable frequent visits, calls, and follow-up marketing. * Build the Company’s brand image by collaborating with customers and employees to communicate the vision, "premier dairy flavor supplier worldwide". * Serve as a liaison between customer and production team to expedite orders, samples, and related customer service. * Prepare and present effective sales and technical presentations to customers. * Keep management abreast of all communications by filling out timely call reports. * Meet or exceed annual sales budgets. Job Qualifications: * BS Degree - food science or related field preferred. * 1-3 years related experience in food industry (e.g. food internship, product development, technical sales, technical service, and customer service). * 50-60% travel required in the assigned sales territory. * Strong project management, independent work ethic, and problem solving skills. * Effective written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to taste various flavors and foods; participate in sensory analysis.
