Job Description
Quality Control Director
Based in Southern CA
BS Food Science-related area and management experience in USDA environment are required; poultry background is a plus
Responsibilities include: • Develop and implement policies and procedures (GMPs, HACCP and SOP’s) • Author technical documentation for testing of products and raw materials • Coordinate labels, ingredient and nutritional statements • Train personnel on quality control functions • Monitor quality control on the production floor • Interface with regulatory agencies during inspections • Supervise plant-level QA Managers and staff • Liaison with Sales/Marketing/Purchasing/Production/Sales/Supply Chain departments as needed
Successful candidate must have excellent communications-, interpersonal- and organizational leadership skills along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
