JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for managing resources to ensure highest production output possible from multiple teams and production lines.

  • Ensures consistent administration of BFG Policy and Procedures.
  • Acts as a resource for Team Members on teams, quality, production and safety issues.
  • Provide Maintenance Assistance for maintaining and troubleshooting all plant equipment.
  • Assist Maintenance Department with preventative maintenance program by working in the field with team members performing PM inspections.
  • Confer with Vendors and Suppliers to obtain information on specific equipment for troubleshooting and training.
  • Responsible for installation, inspection, maintenance of equipment of the physical plant

    PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Grounds and other assigned departments.
  • Implements and directs departmental policy and procedures.
  • Oversees daily operations of the projects assigned to the department.
  • Develops preliminary budgets and objectives in conjunction with the Maintenance Manager.
  • Ensures that employees follow company and customers rules and guidelines.
  • Ensures department meets government and regulatory agency guidelines.
  • Also provides Supervision for all Hourly Maintenance Team Members in absence of their supervisor. This includes, but is not limited to the following scheduling, discipline and evaluations.

    Essential functions:

  • Supervises, coordinates and integrates the work actions of all assigned personnel.
  • Assist /manager in implementing work practices, rules, safety etc. ensures compliance with and updates departmental policies and procedures.
  • Executes short range planning in support of the company's, maintenance departments and customer's goals and objectives.
  • Ensures Departmental/individual compliance with National, State, local building/ mechanical codes; safety codes, OSHA regulations;fire codes; company's and customer's policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Assist supervisor in maintaining/improving productivity, quantity control and quality of work, promotes safety, improves housekeeping, controls costs, and reduces waste.
  • Supervise the installation, inspection, maintenance and repair of plant equipment appliances, utilities and the physical plant.
  • Oversees the work on projects assigned to the department to ensure timely completion of projects and that the company's and customer's quality standards are met.
  • Assist supervisor in preparing a draft annual budget for the department; assist in executing the approved budget.
  • Assists in the operation of the Preventative Maintenance Program.
  • Assist in developing and executing an integrated, ongoing orientation and training program.
  • Assist in the development of long range planning in support of the company's customers and maintenance department's goals and objectives.
  • Performs other assigned duties as directed.

    Electrical Specialist Duties:

  • Provide Electrical and Electronic assistance training, maintaining and trouble shooting plant equipment
  • Provide Electrical an Electronic assistance for training, maintaining and trouble shooting equipment.
  • Recommend changes in circuitry, programming or components to improve equipment performance.
  • Assist with documentation, back up and records
  • Work with engineer staff with Maintenance electrical issues or assigned by the department and approved by the Engineering Manager.

    OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide Training for all maintenance team members and prepare periodic evaluation reports. Determine the effectiveness of training methods and materials.

  • Assist production Group Managers in maximizing the effectiveness of all production department line techs.
  • Assist Maintenance Manager in Development and
  • Administration of the pay for Skill Programs
  • Substitute for Maintenance Manager when the Manager is on vacation or extended leave.
  • Perform additional duties as directed by Maintenance Manager

    Food Safety Production Areas

  • Notify Supervision of any repairs or adjustments that are required.
  • Understand, observe, and comply with the handling and usage of the color-coded container policy while in the Production Areas.
  • Perform all duties necessary to meet American Institute of Baking (AIB), Company, and or Government requirements / standards as prioritized by the Company.
  • Inform Management of ANY Food Safety or Quality issues or of any processes, which become noncompliant with specified requirements.
  • Ability to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the product, processes, quality system, or safety system.
  • Identify and record any problems relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the ingredients, processes, quality system, or safety system.
  • Controls further processing or delivery of nonconforming product in terms of Food Safety and Quality issues until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
  • Inform Management of ANY Food Safety or Quality issues or of any processes, which become noncompliant with specified requirements.
  • In the absence of immediate supervisor, will assume necessary operational and administrative duties.

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prefer BS Degree in Engineering, Business or Related Field
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Prefer 3 to 5 years experience

    Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Walking
  • May be required to work in confined areas, on ladders, scaffolding, equipment, etc.
