As an active and integral member of the plant senior management team, the Supply Chain Manager provides leadership and overall direction for all aspects of receiving, operations planning and distribution/transportation. They review the master production plans and capacity and balance productivity and inventory levels. This person would work closely with the corporate planning team to insure smooth communication and resolution to issues. This position will work closely with location Controller to understand the costs and accounting systems and is responsible for budgets of multiple locations and cost centers.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
? Execute the supply plan to include schedule review and management, material acquisition and tracking, warehouse administration, provide effective rate templates, shuttle transportation execution & truck loading, where applicable. Optimize scheduling with operations. Management of storage guidelines (cooler/freezer/ambient). Interface with Quality on finished goods and raw materials.
? Implement a formal, consistent, ongoing cycle count program; conduct an ABC/Pareto analysis of 1) item volume/velocity, 2) location volume/velocity for fixed storage locations and 3) items with historically higher discrepancy rates in physical inventories; implement counts on a item and location basis (i.e. count high volume items/locations more frequently, count items/locations with higher discrepancy rates more frequently, use daily operating exceptions to drive item-based counts, designating specific times/shifts for cycle counts) and track and post inventory accuracy performance.
? Manage the ?actual production" to ?planned production? discrepancy resolution process to maximize effectiveness.
? Identify and correct root causes of inventory discrepancies at DC?s, review underlying processes and information that may lead to discrepancies (i.e. interview users to identify potential causes and determine actual, underlying causes) and recommend/implement appropriate changes. Track/coordinate co-pack activity.
? Manage consistency of data between systems (WMS, SAP) and analyze and resolve inventory discrepancies. Owns volume budget capacity plan and interfaces with corporate office to insure plant volumes are correctly reflected in various computer systems.
? Work effectively with plant functional managers to develop and maintain a positive employee relations environment.
Minimum Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements:
? Requires extensive knowledge of the operations, planning and distribution to direct and resolve problems in the supply chain process. High-level management and business skills, extensive financial knowledge base and HR policies and pro

cedures are required. Organizational, interpersonal, communication and conflict resolution skills are imperative as well as computer, technical and training abilities. This experience is typically gained through a bachelor?s degree in operations, business accounting or related field, as well as years of managerial experience in a manufacturing environment.

? Knowledge and Past Experience of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
? Highly proficient with General Ledger Systems and Report Writer, database and Spreadsheet Software.
