Only candidates with a minimum of 4 years experience in a laboratory environment (strongly prefer experience in food or beverage QA testing) will be considered. Local candidates only, please. Relocation will not be offered for this position. No contact from recruiting/staffing agencies please.
Shift/Schedule:
3pm - 1:30am, all weekends required. Days off will be given on weekdays.
Summary:
-Tests and inspects products at various stages of the prescribed process and evaluates each test to maintain the quality and reliability of Dawn products.
-Sets up and performs tests on products to measure a variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance, color, texture, flavor, etc.
-Records test data accurately, thoroughly and neatly utilizing prescribed quality forms.
-Performs all aspects of daily dry and wet quality control testing

-Places off grade product on hold and completes the prescribed paperwork. Prepares samples for sales from manufactured product.
-Procures and retests product in question by placing on temporary hold and then retesting to further determine status.
-Procures and maintains ingredient and equipment stock required for testing.
-Must be capable of maintaining the Quality Assurance Batch Expectation Chart.
-Perform testing in all areas of Quality Assurance - yeast raised donuts, breads, cake type products, cake donuts, filling and icings and daily final.
Education/Experience and Skills:
At least 4 years experience working in a laboratory environment
High school diploma or GED required, 2 or 4 year degree strongly preferred
QA food or beverage testing experience strongly preferred.
Good computer skills, including basic level Excel software required.
Reliability and ability to work independently are critical.
Physical requirements:
Ability to lift/move/carry/push/pull up to 50lbs. frequently, ability to stand for prolonged periods of time, bend, reach, twist, squat, walk required. Ability to taste, touch and smell a variety of food products is required
