Position:
The Dispatcher contributes to The Pepsi Bottling Group’s success by ensuring customers are assigned to appropriate delivery channels and routes are assigned to Delivery Drivers in the most efficient manner while meeting routing time windows. The Dispatcher is responsible for manpower planning preparation and provides support to Delivery Drivers concerning truck or delivery issues and responds to customer requests concerning delivery issues. This position is located in Winnipeg.
Key Responsibilities include:
• Provides daily database maintenance ensuring that accounts are appropriately assigned, fleet data is approved and manpower data, zones and standard routes and time windows are updated • Updates Pepsi Dispatch with regards to package and brand sequencing as per PBG warehouse standards • Uploads stock keeping unit (SKU) data, fleet and employee files • Creates Bay Map solutions as per PBG warehouse and Delivery Driver preferences • Maintains daily tracking of loads, manpower, calls and volume • Builds relationships with frontline employees and management at location level to identify, follow up and resolve all issues within 24 hours
Job Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Transportation • Three years of relevant business experience an asset • Working knowledge of Excel and Access • Strong analytical, organizational and decision making skills • Proven communication and supervisor customer service skills • Profession and pleasant telephone manner • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision • Ability to work well under intense pressure • Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset
