Job Description
This position is on the Technical Leadership career path to eventually become a Director of Engineering/Maintenance. It is a step above a Team Leader 2, and a step below a Maintenance Department Head. The next step would be a Maintenance Department Head, or a larger technical role. This role is specifically responsible for driving the creation of a new Maintenance system at the General Mills West Chicago site that focuses on preventative/predictive and LEAN methodology. Strong people leadership, change leadership, good technical ability, continuous improvement experience and people skills are musts. Union experience is preferred. Looking for a 3.0 GPA from a strong Engineering school. 4-8 years of experience as Maintenance Leader or Continuous Improvement leader is ideal. Must have potential to become an Engineering Director.
