Job Description
DEL MONTE FRESH PRODUCE COMPANY
POSITION DESCRIPTION
This person should at least have 3 years previous work experience in a similar position. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Some chemical knowledge. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is ideal. ****NOTE:Position will pay $13-$15 depending on experience.****
A. PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Maintain the cleanliness of the facility and ensure processing and storage areas are cleaned and sanitized on proper schedule.
B. ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Implement Sanitiaton SOPs (SSOP)
2. Manage the location's sanititation supplies.
3. Manage and supervise the location's sanitation crew
4. Maintain and update sanitaiton manual based on new corporate guidelines and statutory regulations.
5. Supervise the location's pest control program requirements.
6. Supervise the location's sanitation program requirements.
7. Handle the proper management and employee training for GMP's, procedures and personnel safety
8. Develop relationship with chemical supplier and ensure proper chemicals are being used
9. Interface with the Operations Manager and/or Maintenance Manager for Quality Assurance issues and the established standard operating procedures, including preventative maintenance programs.
10. Maintain open communication with all Managers to ensure Del Monte's quality standards are maintained at all times.
11. Member of the HACCP team
C. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
MINIMUM:
1. High School diploma
2. 3-5 years previous work experience in a similar position
3. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
PREFERRED BUT NOT ESSENTIAL:
1. Chemical knowledge
2. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred
