Job Title Description: Staff Engineer - Electrical Job Description - To provide engineering consultation and assistance and to troubleshoot and determine fundamental causes of equipment and operational problems. To analyze and review operational problems, apply engineering methods and principles and to recommend and implement courses of action commensurate with operational needs. Develop, design and coordinate assigned projects of a multi-disciplined nature from conception to completion.
Candidate must have basic knowledge and application of Engineering methods.
Possess ability to handle multiple projects with periodic mentoring. Basic knowledge of the following area:
Electrical Discipline: Electrical and electronic control systems circuit design power calculations, general lighting theory.
Instrumentation and control devices, pneumatic and electrical, utilized in process control.
Mechanical Discipline: Piping design, mechanical equipment design and equipment installation.
Hydraulics and pneumatic design concepts.
High speed packaging equipment design, concepts, experience (fillers/seamen/packers)
Other items of which candidate should be familiar include excellent verbal and written communication skills, leadership skills, interpersonal skills, a high proficiency in writing and developing preliminary designs and related contracts, cost estimating, project management and all other related engineering practices, including effect on maintenance, cost factors, budgetary impact; strong mathematical skills, sound knowledge of computers and related software programs, strong working knowledge of the laws, codes and other federal, state and local regualtions (NEC,OSHA). Experience - BS - Engineering Disciplines (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical)
