We are retained by our client, a leader in the confectionery industry, who is seeking a R&D Director to be based in the Philadelphia area. This newly created, highly visible position will report to the COO and manage a team of ten at various locations. Responsibilities include:

• Provide overall direction and leadership of all activities related to R&D and Technical Services
• Implement new product initiatives
• Develop strong, positive relationships with sales force and customers

The successful candidate will have a minimum 10 years related experience in R&D, demonstrated success in team building, and new production introduction/delivery. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to travel are essential. A master’s degree in food science or related field is preferred.
