Job Description
This position is responsible for the Demand Planning aspect of the Supply Chain activities. The goal is to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of products through the Supply Chain in support of agreed forecast accuracy, customer service and working capital objectives. Execution of the Demand Planning process focuses on collaborative “bottom-up” planning with Customer Marketing, Brand Development/Building, and Customer Supply Chain. Interaction with the Master Scheduling Planner (PSG), Deployment Analyst (LOT), and the Category Team are essential. This role is key to balancing the needs of the Source, Make, Plan, and Deliver aspects of the Supply Chain and thus will interact heavily with each.
As a key individual, actively participate in the Demand Management Process Manage and monitor the sales demand planning impacts through the planning horizon via continuous review and assessment of the demand management forecast.
Drive forecasting improvements to meet targets for key products and packs.
Develop, modify, and communicate the short and long range demand plan to the master scheduler.
Actively work with Customer Marketing, Brand Development/Building, Master Schedule Planner and Deployment Analyst to balance the Source, Make, Customer Service and Working Capital objectives.
Help manage numerous projects that support growth objectives, innovation, cost reductions, operational efficiency improvements, and Strategic Sourcing initiatives.
Education - College Degree. APICS certification or progress towards certification preferred.
Experience - A minimum of 5-8 years experience in an Operations-based environment.
Skills:
Specific Training - Proficiency in PC based software tools (Microsoft Office Suite), SAP, Manugistics, ESSBASE, BW
Strong analytical skills required.
