Job Description
SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Responsible for productivity, quality of work, departmental safety, assisting in controlling costs and reducing waste in maintenance, and other assigned departments. Responsible for installation, inspection, maintenance of equipment etc. of the physical plant. Implements and directs departmental policy and procedures. Oversees daily operations of the projects assigned to the department. Works with planner in developing preliminary budgets and objectives. Ensures that employees follow company and customer’s rules and guidelines. Responsible for the direction of the assigned work force. Ensures department meets government and regulatory agency guidelines.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/ DUTIES:
Supervises, coordinates and integrates the work actions of all assigned personnel.

Executes short range planning in support of the company's, maintenance department's and customer's goals and objectives.
Ensures departmental/individual compliance with National, State, local building/ mechanical codes; safety codes, OSHA regulations; fire codes; company's and customer's policies, procedures, and standards.
Interacts with all team members in maintaining and improving productivity, quantity workmanship, harmony, planning, customer relations, training, and quality of work; promotes safety, improves housekeeping, assist in controlling costs, and reducing waste.
Supervise the installation, inspection, preventive maintenance and repair of plant equipment appliances, utilities and the physical plant in a proactive manner.
· Oversees the work and work force on work orders assigned to the department to ensure timely completion of and ensuring the company and customer's quality standards are met.

· Supervises the operation of the preventive and predictive

maintenance program.

Assist in developing and executing an integrated, ongoing orientation, safety, and various required training programs.
Assist in the development of long range planning in support of the company's, customer's and maintenance department's goals and objectives.
Performs other assigned duties as required or directed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:
Requires a college degree, thorough knowledge of mechanical / electrical systems, a minimum of 2-3 years related maintenance experience and strong verbal and written communications skills. Basic knowledge of minor estimating, scheduling, planning, and budgeting. Working knowledge of National, State, Local building codes, OSHA, normal standard safety rules/regulations. Previous experience in food grade process facility is preferred
