We are retained by our client, a leader in the confectionery industry, who is seeking a Corporate Controller to be based in the Philadelphia area. This newly created position will report to the CFO, with a dotted line report to the CEO. Responsibilities include:

• Provide leadership and coordination of financial planning and budgeting management
• Lead the financial staff in the preparation of financial analyses of operations and in the creation of timely and accurate financial statements
• Conduct analysis of financial data and identify opportunities for improvement
• Assist the CFO with financial projects
• Interface with senior management and department managers on five and ten year business plans
• Provide technical advice to the financial group
• Evaluate and advise on the financial impact of long-range plans, projects, capital improvements, including ROI calculations

The successful candidate must have a master’s degree in finance or accounting. CPA a plus. Fifteen years of hands-on accounting experience with a minimum five years management experience required. Strong communication (verbal and written), presentation skills, problem solving ability, and analytical ability also required. This position will require frequent travel.
