Job Description
Responsible for managing capital investment projects across factory manufacturing assets, utilities systems and infrastructure.
Responsible for improvement activities on packaging and/or processing equipment using root case analysis techniques, TPM FI toolbox and engineering expertise to increase production efficiency, reliability, cost, quality and safety.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Supports plant project activities and manages capital projects.
• Responsible for the planning and execution of conceptual, preliminary and detailed engineering assignments.
• Develops detailed design calculation in related engineering field with minimal supervision.
• Evaluates specifications , selects and makes recommendations for the purchase of major processing and packaging equipment, packaging lines and control systems.
• Accountable for the preparation of objective project assessment including financial justification and evaluations such as Returns On Investment (ROI) evaluations.
• Responsible for the planning and implementation of capital projects. This includes technical correctness, schedule, start-up and cost.
• Develops the training plan, checkout, testing and start-up protocol for the commissioning of equipment, packaging lines and control systems.
• Performs root cause analysis to achieve improvements in production efficiency, reliability & quality.
• Team member for larger innovation, restructuring or supply chain strategic investments.
• Manages suppliers, engineering service providers and contractors.
• Assures compliance with company & industry engineering standards, specifications, and best practices.
• Participates in the development of the plant site plan, capital plan and ensures practices that promote effective asset management.
EDUCATION Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
