The Judge Group, Inc. is currently in search of a degreed Industrial/Logistics Engineer for a national third-party logistics (3PL) firm for their Central Pennsylvania branch. The Industrial/Logistics Engineer initial duties will include their involvement in a special Operational Excellence team whose focus will be the implementation of a company-wide labor management/productivity incentive program, requiring 80-90% travel. Upon completion of the implementation project, the Engineer’s responsibility will shift to the project management of a premier account, spanning 6 warehouses and requiring approximately 20% travel.

Engineering duties include facility layouts, material handling design, time studies, optimum utilization of Warehouse Management Systems, and process improvements. This position requires the knowledge of velocity slotting and implementing optimal pick and pack solutions. This role will communicate directly with the operations team on identifying potential cost savings and building project plans for implementation. This position will also support start-ups of new facilities by assisting customers on facility design and material handling layouts. This is a great opportunity with a growing company.

Requirements:

The qualified candidate for the Industrial/Logistics Engineer position will have experience working on labor productivity project and implementing labor management standards. A four year degree in an Engineering discipline (preferably Industrial Engineering) is required. Also required are a minimum of 2 years and no more than 7 years of project management experience within a distribution environment and working knowledge of AutoCad. Also, experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is required. Currently, this position does not offer relocation, so candidates should be local to the Central Pennsylvania area.
