Job Description
  • Requirements
    • MS/PhD Food Science or related field
    • 4-10 years of innovative product development experience. (
    • Experience with infant nutrition type products would be the first choice.
  • Key Duties
    To design, plan, validate and implement the development of new product, line extensions, product improvements, cost reduction and technical service. Lead and/or provide technical expertise on cross-functional project teams, including technical oversight of internal and external manufacturing start-ups as well as on-going technical service. Design, execute, analyze experimentation. Support, coordinate, and conduct plant trials and start-ups. Conduct all activities in compliance with established safety standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). Develop information for and issue production specifications, in-process control points, and testing requirements.

    Major Accountabilities

  • Highly complex technical problems requiring technical discovery.
  • Moderate to high degree of technical competency.
  • Demonstrates ability to co-create project direction by providing technical input through the planning and decision making process.
  • Communication to senior cross functional group management.
  • Coach less experienced associates on product development best practices.
  • Support programs and policies, including affirmative action goals and commitments, HSE strategies and corporate citizenship initiatives.
