Job Description
Barry-Wehmiller Design Group, Inc. has an immediate need for experienced Project Engineering/Project Management Professionals in our St. Louis/Clayton office.
Education BS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience/technical degree.
Experience Minimum 5 years of project engineering/management experience with packaging line and/or automation applications. Special consideration will be given to individuals with experience in high speed bottling environments or the food and beverage industry.
Requirements/Responsibilities Responsibilities include accountability for all aspects of project execution including system layout engineering, vendor/contractor management, equipment procurement, schedule management, project finances, site management and installation support.
This position requires excellent engineering and project management skills. The ability to simultaneously organize and successfully execute multiple project responsibilities is essential. Candidates need to possess good communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact with all levels of management, clients, and vendors. Maintaining and growing solid client relationships is a key responsibility of this role.
Specific skills requirements for this position include machinery applications, computer skills (Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, & AutoCAD), and excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Candidates must be proficient at converting information into project documentation, managing integration of automated industrial systems, and leading project teams.
Travel Requirements 40-60% travel will be required to support installation and start-up activities, attend Client meetings, Design Group management meetings, company sponsored training and industry related seminars, forums or conventions. The vast majority of this will be regional travel.
