Job Description
•Lead contract manufacturers in a systematic commercialization process for implementing change into plant processes for new product launches and product/process re-designs. •Facilitate reduction of consumer and customer complaints for products produced by contract manufacturers. •Provide input for incorporating the necessary tools, equipment, and methods into the new and existing processes aimed at continuous improvement. •Support for use of toolboxes to measure and control quality systems and processes for continuous improvement. •Support operations in achieving continuous improvements targets and goals in each plant. •Support efforts to insure consumer-acceptable product is being produced at each contract manufacturing location. •Ensure seamless exchange of technical and product information between and among functional areas •Lead and support seamless exchange of technical and product information between and among unit operations in a manufacturing process. •Support operations in enforcement of systematic corrective and preventative actions regarding internal and third party audit deficiencies. •Lead the contract manufacturer crisis team. •Determine and implement product dispositions regarding national holds due to higher level quality and regulatory issues. •Develop, review and update the supplier approval policies and procedures. •Evaluate and recommend 3rd party audits and supporting documentation necessary for contract manufacturer approval process. Maintain all documentation associated with this process. •Conduct reviews of contract manufacturers •Ensure compliance with supplier quality expectations manual •Assist operations in identifying quality contract manufacturers •Manage supplier approval process •Stay abreast of industry trends and developments •Travel will be 50% of the time
