Process Development engineer 23.08RB
Description: This engineer will work in a group of chemists and Chemical engineers that does product and process development. The emphasis will be on food ingredients and sweeteners. Will be developing a number of new products and this engineer will change the focus of the group and give it some capability for manufacturing support. Want this person to work with the plants on optimization or cost issues, helping to troubleshoot operating problems with high level sophisticated thinking. This engineer will also be involved in technology transfer, process improvement, cost reduction projects and technical support. Part of this job involves process development and coming up with novel processes for new products. There will be some pilot plant experimentation including oversight of pilot plant operations, safety and maintenance. This engineer will support the “semi-commercial” production in the pilot plant as well.
Requirements: BS Chemical Engineer with 5-10 years of process engineering experience. Looking for good process optimization, troubleshooting, cost reduction and yield improvement skills/experience. Looking for good hands-on practical experience working with process equipment. Someone with experience troubleshooting of complex process problems and recommending and implementing solutions. Would like someone that worked in a process/production role at a plant, or started at a plant then moved into a process technology or central engineering role, or someone with process development experience which involved providing process support to manufacturing.
