Job Description
This position is responsible for the technical management of the quality assurance private label vendor compliance program. This includes management of an internal vendor database system. Overseeing vendor compliance to labeling regulations in relation to the NLEA, FPLA, FDA, and USDA requirements (new trans fat and allergen regulations, health claims); overseeing vendor using GMP, HAACP, food safety, and food security protocol; managing vendors using an interactive web-based approved supplier information exchange system; monitoring vendor compliance to product and packaging integrity as defined in the company’s specifications/standards; overseeing lab and testing sampling programs for retail, private label and incoming ready to eat products and providing technical support to product divisions and the membership.
