Job Description
Southeast tomato grower/shipper is seeking a VP of Sales (experienced in FOB sales) for their Knoxville, TN sales office. VP of Sales will be responsible for procuring and maintaining customers and will have a strong customer base of national retail and foodservice accounts. Additional job responsibilities include:
- Participate in business planning of sales and marketing programs
- Commodity management
- Target new business opportunities
- Maintain communication with all customers on market conditions
- Communicate daily with sales team
- Communicate with operations and warehousing departments
- Participate in retail presentations and trade shows
Minimum requirements: 5+ years of FOB sales and management experience with tomatoes. Experience developing retail and foodservice programs. Strong customer contacts among retail and foodservice accounts. Candidate should be self motivated, a strong communicator, business oriented, with a professional work ethic. Some travel will be required. Experience with Microsoft Office; Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Famous are preferred.
Compensation includes: base salary at $80-120K, bonus potential, health insurance, vacation, car allowance, relocation assistance.
