Job Description
Position Summary: The Packaging Advisor will oversee 3 lines on the 3rd shift and be responsible for running operations (i.e., quality, safety and compliance), building capability and executing plans. Monitor product quality and sanitation to ensure company standards are maintained.

Major Responsibilities:

• Assist in the develop, administering and management of budgets

• Administer company policies, procedures, and the collective bargaining agreement within the department.

• Coordinate with appropriate company agencies, other departments and outside vendors as needed on intra department issues • Maintain and communicate the operational performance (i.e., reliability, juice yield, etc.,) of the department

• Coach and develop all lead employees to achieve superior performance and enhance personal growth and development

• Ensure appropriate resources are involved to resolve issues as they arise

• Manage and administer cost reduction/cost control initiatives

• Actively lead and participate in Safety to deliver company objectives and goals (Department, Plant Safety, Steering Committee, Ergo, etc.)

• Identify gaps in performance, investigate root cause effectively and efficiently and implement counter measures to eliminate recurrence

• Develop and implement daily management systems (base business processes) as needed to ensure stability in daily operations and corresponding results

Qualifications:

• Must be available to work 3rd shift

• Bachelor’s Degree required in a related field: Engineering, Food Science

• 3 to 5 years process control and management experience in a manufacturing or related field in a consumer product manufacturing environment, preferably food or beverage

• Maintenance or production management experience preferably in a union environment

• Ability to be creative and innovative finding new solution sets as appropriate

• Familiarization with OSHA, USDA, FDA, and EPA requirements

• Proficiency with PC software - Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project
