Job Description
General Summary: This analyst position performs a variety of jobs as listed below all in the support of the field department’s goal to provide accurate and timely information defining raw product supply for the SunOpta Fruit Group Berry Operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Work closely with the Director of Field Operations in preparing the agenda for the weekly field update meeting • Work with the individual Field Managers to collect and document weekly field supply quantity estimates and quality forecast comments • Communicate directly with Growers, Receiving & Cooling warehouses, and Freight Carriers on matters relating to the Field Department. • Maintain various spread sheets reflecting output and performance of the raw product supply chain. • Work with Field Managers and take the lead on documentation of Food Safety field and harvest audits • Interact with Operation staff at the various processing plants to collect and document product reconciliation of product being received through out the state at the various locations against receipt at processing plants.

Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as organic certifications and outside laboratory test results. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Math Ability: Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Education/Experience: High School Diploma or better and a minimum of two years related experience in a Data Analyst position.

Computer Experience: To perform this job successfully, this position must have working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint software and ACCPAC (Oracle software experience is a plus, but not required.) Strong typing skills, 70 – 80 wpm preferred.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
