Job Description
Duties: Responsible for all analysis and reporting of results. HACCP plan validation testing. Development and use of statistical process controls and information to support food safety requirements. Liaison with USDA-FSIS on documentation to support food safety programs. Knowledge of code of federal regulations. Develop a collaborative relationship built on mutual trust with senior management and other production personnel to maintain good rapport in order to successfully accomplish the functions and responsibilities of this position. Effectively supervise and work directly with staff of 6 Laboratory Technicians/Support and 1 Lab Manager.
Requirements: M.S. degree in food science or microbiology, Must be computer literate (Excel, Word, Outlook) capable of data analysis and interpretation. Must be a detail-oriented, effective performer, who can operate within strict time lines and adapt to a fast-paced multi-task environment. Must be self-motivated, committed to performing quality work and able to work within a team environment.
