Job Description
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Electrical or Mechanical engineering disciplines or equivalent. Minimum 3-5 years related experience.an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position along with effective oral and written communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills.Strong negotiating skills This position will manage energy services and negotiate utility supply agreements, reduce energy consumption and improve energy productivity.egotiate and evaluate electric and gas supply options available at the selected location. Evaluate having local utilities provide all or a portion of the electrical energy needed at the plant. Evaluate tariffs available to determine which is best for company. Negotiate with utilities to develop an economic development incentive rate which could provide with discounted electric rate.Work with utilities to quantify and minimize any infrastructure improvement costs that may be assessed to the company. Analyze options for wind and other renewable energy sources to determine economical feasibility. Compare all options showing costs of energy and infrastructure along with impact to the price of of our product today and in the future. Negotiate multi-year supply arrangements and contracts for high dollar energy.Develop strategies for the procurement and production of energy including steam, fuel, electric power, and industrial gases. Establish and maintain a strong, formal energy conservation program through the use of technology, reporting systems, plant reviews, and surveys in order to optimize energy usage. Develop site energy concepts for all manufacturing sites by the analysis of present and future demands, condition of production facilities and impacts of potential conservation programs to assure optimal development of energy projects and programs. Review existing contracts and initiate negotiations to ensure competitive pricing. Others duties or special projects as assigned.
