Job Description
Design, develop, conduct and/or review flavor analysis experiments (e.g., laboratory or process experiments) in order to deliver new products; evaluate ingredients, product or packaging efficacy or claims; or evaluate new flavor ingredients, materials, products or processes. Conduct review of scientific or other literature in order to maintain and improve laboratory knowledge/skill, identify appropriate analytical techniques for projects/studies, or gather confidential information (e.g., information on competitive products) of a flavor related nature. Record and interpret data form analysis of flavor bearing entity experiments in a computer, log book or laboratory notebook. Provide interactive support to the creative Flavorist as they execute their projects. Record data from analyses or experiments in a computer, log book or laboratory notebook. Design, develop, conduct and/or review experiments (e.g., laboratory or process experiments) in order to deliver new products; evaluate ingredient, product or packaging safety, efficacy or claims; or evaluate new ingredients, materials, products or processes. Generate, document and execute a plan to select and/or develop technology (e.g., packaging, tools, processes, equipment, and products) including managing the change control process, in order to meet the project’s specific objectives (e.g., improve quality, deliver new products, and optimize processes). Conduct review of scientific or other literature in order to maintain and improve laboratory knowledge/skill, identify appropriate analytical techniques for projects/studies, or gather confidential information (e.g., information on activist groups). Design, fabricate and evaluate/assess (e.g., through laboratory testing) a working package, equipment or product prototype/sample against technical requirements, fit to concept or performance specifications (e.g., functionality and operational feasibility). Identify, classify, maintain, and protect files, documentation and sensitive information consistent with record handling and retention requirements. Write detailed and accurate reports for analyses, experiments or projects (e.g., equipment validations, evaluation of new processes). Prepare samples and sampling plan for ingredients, intermediate of finished products, or other materials in order to perform analyses (e.g., chemical, physical, sensory, microbiological). Identify, research and evaluate new developments or trends in beverage-related industries, technologies or materials (e.g., packaging, equipment, products, processes) using various methods (e.g., scanning databases, tracking market trends, software) in order to recommend new courses of action. Gather and organize information to support senior management’s decision-making during a crisis situations
