The J.R. Simplot Company is currently seeking candidates for its Operations Management Trainee Program in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba Canada. We are looking for candidates with a desire to work for an organization that is family-owned and offers incredible opportunities to the right candidates. The developmental portion of the training program will last approximately three months, and includes hands-on learning opportunities.
The candidate chosen for this position will be placed at our Portage La Praire facility. We are currently interested in talking with those available/graduating in Spring/Summer 2008.
We are looking for those individuals who have the motivation and desire to follow the developmental track through to Operations Management. We want to teach you all there is to know about Food Processing, and develop your skills to eventually move into a key Operations Management position. Program Specifics: *Trainees will be moving through the program at all times. *Trainees will spend roughly 16 weeks involved in a combination of classroom study, hands-on overview and evaluation of the Simplot processes, and in directed hands-on studies at a predetermined Potato Plant, as well as gaining production operations experience. The potato plants are located in Caldwell, Nampa, and Aberdeen, Idaho; Moses Lake and Othello, Washington; Portage La Prairie, MB CA; and Grand Forks, North Dakota. Trainees may complete both pre and post tests in either written or oral format, to assist them in developing confidence in their abilities, and there will be written and oral evaluations and feedback on assignments.
