Job Description
Global fresh produce distributor is seeking a Senior Sales Representative for their Minneapolis area sales office. The Senior Sales Rep is responsible for maintaining and growing business with existing customer base, primarily through telephone contact, and with face-to-face customer visits several times a month. Additional responsibilities include:
· Enter orders and credits into Sales system. · Maintain call sheet customer information in a spreadsheet. · Take on new customer assignments as necessary. · Coordinate with Quality Control, Transportation, Accounting and Purchasing Departments as necessary to ensure customer satisfaction on all levels.
· Control issuance of credits to customers. · Monitor credit history for each customer. · Weekly maintenance of Sales Records in Excel; track own sales, margin and credit figures to measure progress against goals.
· Perform other duties as assigned by Management. · Cold calling on new potential institutional, mass market and natural food customers
Requirements: AA/AS degree, or equivalent and 3-5 years in a fresh produce sales environment required. Customer contact base of retail chain accounts. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Highly motivated individuals with a strong team work ethic. Must possess strong customer service skills. Must have strong interpersonal, verbal, and communication skills.
Compensation includes: Base salary $50-70K, bonus, 401k, health insurance, vacation. No relocation.
