Cargill Meat Solutions has an opportunity available for a Quality Control Technician with our Cargill Value Added Meats-Retail/Deli business in Dayton, VA. Principle Accountabilities: Monitoring in-plant production, conducting tests for Q.C. programs, net/weight monitoring using statistical methods. Training employees to follow company procedures and USDA regulations. Monitor TQC, HIMP, SSOP and HACCP Programs, perform on-line grading. Special projects as requested by Supervisor.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalency. Must have good math skills. Strong computer skills/knowledge. Knowledge of production processes helpful. Must be a self-starter and have good communication skills. Accuracy, precision, and dependability are a necessity. Must be willing to work early hours, overtime, late hours and weekends as needed. Excellent attendance and safety records required. Must be willing to cross-train to work in other areas of Q.C. coverage to include live hanging, kill, and eviscerating areas. Must be able to work in cold/damp and hot/humid environments. Must work well alone or as a team player.
