Cargill has an exciting opportunity as an Occupational Health Nurse at our beef processing plant facility located in Dodge City, KS. This position will promote the health, safety and well-being of all staff working in Dodge City, KS. Principle Accountabilities: Provide onsite assessment and treatment of employees Ensure a safe and health work environment Provide first-aid/primary nursing care services to employees for illness and injury for both work and non-work related issues utilizing the nursing process. Ensure referral and follow-up as appropriate. Provide assessment, ensure follow-up/ referral/ reporting/ documentation of all employees who have or may have experienced exposure to hazardous substance. Evaluate the health status of employees returning to work following injury or illness keeping with company policy in order to ascertain fitness to safely perform job duties. Assists in administering wellness programs Provide services to prevent and control communicable blood borne diseases among employees carrying on workplace activities but not limited to: Immunization programs, screening and testing, contact/exposure follow-up, and carrier status. Maintain confidentiality of employee heath records according to policy. Expected to work in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act at all times.

Qualifications RN preferred, LPN accepted Holds or nearing completion of certification in occupational health nursing Certified in First aid and CPR Proven nursing assessment (physical) and diagnostic skills A background in occupational health nursing would be an asset. Candidate must be sensitive to the needs of a multicultural/multilingual environment.
