Position Overview:
Provide manufacturing leadership to deliver a world-class operation. Lead, motivate, and develop employees to achieve production results, leverage continuous improvement (lean/TPM) tools, improve individual skills, and enhance teamwork.
Accountabilities:
Energize & Develop People
Perform as a first-level leader in a manufacturing facility, providing coaching, support, and direction to members of a work team. Conduct regular team meetings including effectively communicating organizational and policy changes. Provide performance feedback to team members via appraisals and/or other documentation; address performance issues, taking disciplinary action if required. Promote positive employee relations through effective conflict management and issue resolution. Deliver Outstanding Results
Provide business leadership to ensure the team meets or exceeds department/plant goals in critical success areas (Cost/Quality/Sanitation/System Performance/Customer Service/Health/Safety/Environment). Function as a technical and business resource in areas of system operations and product requirements. Manage daily staffing and effective resource allocation to maximize line output. Track and report shift performance in critical success areas. Lead Innovation
Drive continuous improvement and total employee involvement in critical success areas by empowering employees to utilize lean manufacturing tools. Establish and sustain effective relationships with all employees in order to foster an environment where innovation and cooperation are used to solve problems. Facilitate effective sharing of information across work teams, business areas, and functional areas. Additional duties as assigned. Required Education/Skills/Experience:
Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or Management preferred Minimum High School diploma or GED Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment or other applicable experience (2-3 years preferred) Computer skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Willing to work and/or attend meetings during other shifts and/or weekends
