Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY: To manage a cross-functional team whose objective is to oversee the capital investments relating to the company's fixed assets. This could involve the relocation and optimizing of the existing fixed asset base and/or the purchase of new fixed assets. It may extend from the initial conceptual studies through to project closeout.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Define, propose and monitor the Project teams plans and objectives * Propose and implement work processes, procedures and technical resources * Lead and coordinate project team and maintain competencies, motivation and performance to achieve defined mission and objectives * Propose and control the overall project cost * Propose and monitor the projects in accordance with the key performance indicators

Functional Responsibilities * Ensure absolute intolerance for unsafe situations. Strong consideration for product safety/quality, people safety and environmental impact * Ensure full endorsement of Company Business principle * Manage the selection/recruitment of the team * Ensure clear and open communication between the team members and the related stakeholders (e.g. site, market and Zone management, PTC, CO Engineering, CT Packaging and the SBU) * Ensure that protection of Companies technological and proprietary know-how * Ensure that the requirements of the client are maintained in accordance with the business needs

*Specific responsibilities relating to the conceptual study phase (feasibility and approval): * Ensure that all projects are designed for the long term and result in a positive impact on the company ROIC * Thoroughly challenge the supporting documentation even if it is provided by other functions * Prepare and manage the approval process in accordance with the Guidelines for Capital Investment

Specific responsibilities relating to the design phase: * Ensure that all assets are well designed and fit the business purpose * Support all Value Engineering Analysis (VEA)studies * Ensure that the design is directed towards a low cost, highly efficient and flexible operation

Specific responsibilities relating to the implementation phase: * Ensure safe work sites and installations that are easy to operate, clean and maintain as well as guaranteeing after commissioning the safe, consistent manufacture/distribution of quality products * Ensure that when working with external engineering services, contractors, suppliers etc. that the scope, deliverables, performance and milestones are clearly detailed and agreed up front * Ensure that a progress report is prepared on a monthly basis with a copy forwarded to all stakeholders

Specific responsibilities relating to the start-up/close out phase (commissioning/final report): * Ensure that the project scope is achieved within the agreed cost and timing * Ensure that the operators, mechanics, electricians etc. are effectively trained and that the transfer of the equipment to the client is both smooth and efficient * Ensure that all expenditures are broken out into clearly defined assets and entered into the assets register * Ensure that the project file is completed and handed over to the client for future reference * Ensure that the final report is completed and circulated to all key stakeholders

REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL: Qualifications * Degree/Diploma in engineering. Preferably Process, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical engineering or similar * Minimum 7-10 years experience in a technical field, in a food manufacturing facility * Experience in UHT/Aseptic technologies * Travel up to 40% * Open to relocation after project completion (every 2 to 3 years)

EXPERIENCE: * Experience in milk related technologies and standard best practices * Experience in Project Management: construction of food factory

SKILLS: * Strong technical, managerial and leadership skills * Project Engineering/Management, plant design and construction * In-depth knowledge of food plant principles and Hygienic Engineering * Knowledge of food safety, regulatory requirements for food safety and equipment * Communication and Networking Understanding of financial analysis and relevant business drivers Standard Costing CAPEX budgeting and preparation Maintenance Investment accounting * Sound understanding of contracts, construction law and required permits Support Tools * MS Office, MS Project, Basic AutoCAD or Visio * Capital Investment Approval and Tracking (CIAT) tool * AMM (PS module), Hexaplan, VEA
