Job Description
This position will be responsible to:
  • Prepares equipment and work assignments and schedules employees by anticipating production needs.
  • Monitors production and employees to ensure that all quality standards are met.
  • Identifies problems with employees and the production process and finds solutions.
  • Supervises and manages employees by ensuring all company policies and procedures are followed, hiring new employees, making termination decisions, recommending pay changes, and evaluation performance.
  • Maintains supplies needed for production.
  • Communicates with managers and other supervisors about status of employees and production.
  • Coordinates production schedule with required maintenance.
  • Leads and conducts safety training and makes sure all employees have required safety equipment.

Requirements:

  • 1+ year of specialized or technical training beyond high school in Business Administration or a related field and 1 year of supervisory experience in a production environment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of: Company policies and procedures, the production process supervised by this position, relevant federal, state, and local laws and regulations, the production equipment supervised by this position.
  • Skills in: supervising employees, Meeting production deadlines, identifying and implementing solutions to problems with the production process and employees.
  • Communication and interpersonal relations as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.
