We invite applications for the position of EOHS Leader at our greenfield site in Emporia, KS. As an EOHS Leader for Hill’s Pet Nutrition, you will champion the design, development, and implementation of EOHS strategies which will ensure that the Emporia facility meets or exceeds all EOHS regulatory compliance requirements at the local, state, and federal levels. In addition, the successful candidate will drive innovative world class systems that guarantee the safety, health, and welfare of all plant employees, the community, and the environment. Responsibilities for this position include: EOHS compliance Systems: Ensure safety and environmental compliance during the construction, start-up, and ongoing operations which include: permitting, reporting, training, and auditing of EOHS related activity at a local, state, federal, and company level. Plant Security Systems: Lead and address all company and government standards for food safety, plant safety, and anti-bioterrorism initiatives through the design and implementation of plant security and property loss protection systems. Continuous Improvement and Performance Reliability Systems: Collaborate with key leadership, corporate, and plant personnel to ensure preventive and corrective action is effectively taken to address all EOHS matters and EOHS continuous improvement related projects. Communication: Serves as primary liaison for plant EOHS matters between government agencies and corporate. Participates in global Communities of Practice to drive and support company wide global EOHS initiatives. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
BS degree in Engineering, Technology, Safety, Environmental Management, Industrial Hygiene, or related field Minimum five years experience in Manufacturing, Project Management, and EOH&S. Proficient in compliance management of OSHA, DOT and EPA regulations Minimum five years experience in supervisory role Must be proficient in the following computer skills: email, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint Must be able to be on-call 24/7 and works weekends and holidays as needed.
