Cargill Meat Solutions in High River, Alberta has an exciting opportunity for a Shipping Supervisor (Shift A or B - To Be Determined). This position is responsible for supevising a team of unionized employees in the day-to-day operations in our Shipping Department. This includes safety, employee engagement, quality control, customer specifications, costs, and inventory controls.
Principle Accountabilities:
Day-to-day supervision of department employees (labour issues, safety, mannings, etc) Development of department employees (coaching, mentoring, engaging, etc.) Maintain high operational excellence with regards to drop dead times, orderfill accuracy, customer specifications, etc.
Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a group of individuals. Strong work history, good attendance. Strong communication skills in both written and verbal. Basic knowledge of OH&S, Food Safety, Cargill Safety, and Environmental regulations. Good computer skills. Knowledge of Shipping process.
