Cargill Meat Solutions has a opportunity as a Utilities Supervisor. This position is responsible for all air, HVAC, steam, water, refrigeration, as required for our facility to operate efficiently and ensure the integrity of our stored products. Principle Accountabilities: (70%) Meet downtime objectives (1 ½ minutes/day) by ensuring all backups are ready, P.M.’s are done, and that proper coverage is provided for the department. (10%) As Utility Supervisor, you will be required to meet the weekly budget, prepare operating, repair and maintenance budgets for the department. Deal with other department managers and supervisors so as to meet these objectives. (10%) As Utility Supervisor, you are to ensure that employees meet and/or exceed Cargill’s Safety Policy. Conduct bi-weekly safety meetings and audits to maintain good housekeeping standards. Review critical task procedures and operating procedures for shift engineers.(10%) Monitor daily utility usage, plant operations plant wide. Manage special projects. Work with outside contractors to ensure that Cargill’s construction standards are achieved.

Qualifications Alberta Second Class Certificate of Competency Well versed in Ammonia refrigeration systems Basic knowledge of computers Good leadership skills Good oral and written communication skills Ability to use IBM 286 Processors, and Rotary Screw Compressor Mini Processors
