Job Description
The Judge Group, INC. is currently in search of an Engineering Manager for an established Baked Goods Manufacturing Company located in New York. Currently seeking someone who will be responsible for improving efficiency and reducing process variation through the implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles, improved material flow and facility lay-out and waste reduction. The Engineering Manager will become the in-house expert for new automation equipment installed throughout facility. Candidate must have working proficiency of PLC programming and CAD systems. Qualified individual will drive improvements in safety program and ensure compliance with facility security requirements as well as oversee a Maintenance department comprised of a maintenance supervisor, stock room attendant and 14 mechanics of various skill and experience. REQUIREMENTS: Qualified Candidates for the Engineering Manager Position MUST Have a t least 10 years experience in a manufacturing setting; a degree in Engineering preferred. Lean, food manufacturing experience a strong plus! Candidate must have working proficiency of PLC programming and CAD systems as well as experience in safety management and OSHA compliance. Candidate must have demonstrated success managing/implementing capital projects. The Engineering Manager must also be energetic and pay thorough attention to detail as well as be an effective communicator.
