Job Description
BA/BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or AA degree with relevant experience Strong knowledge of pipe specification, valve technology, ASME piping code, and field erection is required. Capital project management experience with teh Ability to manage and/or develop corporate projects effectively. Strong problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proficiency in AutoCAD or related CAD software package. Strong computer skills utilizing MS Office products

Our clients facility is in need of a Piping Engineer who will be responsible for ensuring technically sound system designs, as well as ensuring the timely and cost effective completion of all project stages of major capital projects undertaken for the facility. This facility is in the expansion and upgrade mode and need you to help make it happen. Major focuses for this position will be on piping design, specification, and construction. The position will deal with process, as well as steam piping. The primary duties of this position will include capital project design work, creating cost estimates and cost controls, planning and scheduling project work to be completed, supervising construction work, ensuring the successful execution and completion of project start-ups on time and within budget, and managing all aspects of multi-million dollar capital projects, either individually or as part of a project team.
