Education
B.S. in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical degree is preferred.
Experience
Minimum 7 years of electrical engineering with PLC automation projects and/or production plant experience.
Requirements/Responsibilities
Responsibilities include: -Leading electrical project teams to successfully implement the designs developed to meet our client’s requirements. -Maintaining and updating our electrical standards so all electrical engineers follow the same methodologies. -Fostering a positive team environment to handle all electrical engineering work executed by the team.
BWDG electrical engineers design control system solutions, control panels, SCADA systems, PLC and HMI programming, and execute site start-up of integrated packaging line systems for the West Coast Marketplace. Our professionals utilize excellent analytical and problem-solving skills in designing, programming, and troubleshooting our packaging, processing and line control systems.
Our solutions utilize Allen-Bradley (Contrologix, PLC5, SLC500), Siemens PLC’s, PanelView HMI’s, Industrial Communication Networks, experience with these systems is necessary. Experience with RSView32, Intellution iFix and VisualBasic is essential. Special consideration will be given to those candidates with DeviceNet, Ethernet and ControlNet experience.
This position requires the ability to simultaneously organize and successfully execute multiple project responsibilities. Candidates need to possess good communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact with all levels of management, clients, and vendors. Contractor management skills are required.
Travel Requirements
Overnight travel will be required to support installation and start-up activities, attend Client meetings, Design Group management meetings, company sponsored training and industry related seminars, forums or conventions. The vast majority of this travel will be in the West Coast marketplace.
