Cargill Meat Solutions has an exciting opportunity available for a Quality Assurance Manager. This position is responsible for ensuring that the quality of the products reaching our customers meets specifications. Will manage the day-to-day activities of the technical services department. The manager will be the main point of contact within the facility to address customer concerns. This position will serve as a liaison between our sales force and production teams to ensure that customer expectations are met. This requires the handling of all customer related complaints; product rejects and implementing appropriate corrective actions to address these issues. Additional responsibilities include ensuring that reports are turned in to corporate headquarters in a timely manner. This position will also serve as the technical resource for all quality/food safety and other regulatory issues. Will lead the efforts surrounding quality and food safety audits within the facility. Interaction with and training company personnel to lead quality improvement initiatives will also be a responsibility. Principle Accountabilities: Ensures that corrective actions are initiated in response to customer complaints Interacts with sales group to ensure customer needs are met. Ensures that all product specifications are correct and reflect the needs of the customer Ensures that all reporting to Wichita and Minneapolis is completed on time Acts as Voice of Customer within the facility Remains abreast of any changes to regulatory environment and ensure that the facility stays ahead of these changes Acts as technical resource for all quality, food safety and regulatory issues Acts as main point of contact for all quality and food safety audits performed within the facility Acts as technical resource and facilitator for all quality improvement initiatives 10% travel required
Qualifications Must possess a 4-year degree in a technical discipline Must have at least 4 years of experience in a quality assurance supervisory role in a food manufacturing plant Must possess a strong desire to drive quality improvement initiatives within the facility
