Job Description
Job Responsibilities: -Lead and facilitate the facility in customer complaint resolution and reduction activity across the platform. -Lead activities that empower, engage, and involve operators with the information and tools for Food Safety and Continuous Quality Improvement in facility manufacturing processes. Provide the means for incorporating the necessary tools, equipment, and methods (e.g.; SPC, ISO, 6 Sigma, etc.) into the new and existing processes aimed at continuous improvement. -Support Operations in embedding systemic corrective and preventative actions regarding internal and third party audit deficiencies. -Support translation of product specifications to appropriate manufacturing documentation. -Ensure training of plant personnel in self-audits of their quality systems. -Lead the facility in the adoption and disciplined use of a clearly defined, well-documented, and systematic commercialization process for the implementing change into plant processes for new product launches and product and process redesigns. -Support defining plant process capabilities, sampling plans, and protocols to transition product from R&D pilot to commercial manufacturing (e.g., in-process control points). -Support Operations in achieving continuous improvement targets and goals in each plant. -Determine and implement product dispositions regarding national holds due to higher level quality and regulatory issues (e.g., Southeast Region quality issue). Support determination and implementation of product dispositions regarding holds, warehouse, transport, and logistics issues (e.g., leakers, truck wrecks, temp holds, shelf life). -Support basic plant programs to ensure consumer-acceptable product is being produced at the plant. -Lead changes to existing to existing products in response to complaints, customer requests, or cost-saving activity. -Ensure seamless exchange of technical and product information between and among functional areas (e.g., from R&D to the customer) and among all Operating Unit plants. -Lead and support the achievement of plant operations quality goods. -Guide the transition to operator-focused quality measurement. -Approve product specifications, Capital project request, etc., as needed. -Involved with Enterprise Quality and Operating Crisis Team.
