Job Description
Manage the activities of the Retail product development technologists/technicians. -Oversee the Retail new product development process -Carry out responsibilities as a Project Manager Including: -Lead product direction discussion with management teams. -Customer interaction including capability and brainstorming sessions to develop new business and improve existing products -New Formula Development -New and novel process development -Process implementation -Package development and qualification -Shelf life qualification -Design product testing related to texture, color, purge, product dimensions, and incorporate theses results into the product manufacturing procedures and specifications. -Takes feedback from Product Development Team and Innovations Director and comments and translates their preferences into product changes. -SOP creation -USDA label approval process maintenance -Package labeling database maintenance -Provide technical support in problem solving opportunities in the manufacturing process -Participate in existing product and process improvement/cost reduction projects with existing products -Provide technical instruction for the Sales force.
