Job Description
Position Summary: The TPM Manager leads the TPM growth at the City of Industry facility through the utilization of PepsiCo's continuous improvement model.
Major Responsibilities:
TPM Plans • Coordinates the development of the TPM phase plans, tracks progress against the plan and leads issue resolution (Gap analysis, and adjustments to plan).
• Coordinates the development of the TPM master plan and oversees progress and issue resolution against the master plan.
• Implements appropriate reviews (monthly, quarterly) to review both pillars and departments progress in their TPM plans.
• Participates in pillar meetings, department reviews and small group activities to ensure that work is properly integrated and that progress is on track.
Culture • Ensures TPM is the way work is done at City of Industry
• Ensures that TPM work is impacting both results and the culture towards the vision as determined by the plant zero loss journey. This includes: Total employee involvement, linkages of individual and team activities to losses and the business need and TPM as the work
Integration of Pillar Work • Develops an overall understanding of the different TPM pillars and how they integrate through the TPM master plan to deliver the improved results. -Coaches department and pillar leaders on this integration
• Develops a thorough understanding of the TPM efficiency basics and their integration to deliver increased efficiency results early in the TPM implementation including the following systems: true efficiency tree (planned, unplanned), centerline / change over systems, maintenance basics (PMOs work orders, scheduled maintenance, breakdown elimination), downtime tracking, analysis and review processes (daily, weekly and monthly reviews), leadership role and structure to focus on true efficiency, focused improvement system.
Qualifications:
• BS/BA in technical, business, or operations related field
• 4 yrs experience in TPM implementation, similar processes (TQM, 6 sigma), or operations
• Experienced in PepsiCo manufacturing business model a plus
• Knowledgeable of continuous implementation & assessment tools
